Thanksgiving is bittersweet for me because my Dad died three years ago on this day.  We held a short memorial service that was led by an old friend of my Dad's.  They had been friends for over 50 years.  It was good to be together and to share in this memorable holiday.  Life always goes on!  And time never stops!  So make the most of everyday!  Take care!  :)

So I was in the bookstore recently and started reading bits of this book as some guys I know have been or are all becoming fathers...  This was a pretty interesting book.  It gives you insight into the male mind and what goes on in their brains when the little ones start showing up.  No more bun in the oven after a certain point, you know?  Life does go on.

This tanka is dedicated to my siblings who lately are having baby after baby it seems.  I get to babysit and play just like any doting aunt would.  However I also get to share in the loss of sleep at times.  And letting go of always getting my homework done, etc.  However it's not all baby's fault.  Work keeps me busy too!  And what a year this has been!
