Miracles From Heaven
A mother champions her daughter to do all she can to make her daughter better. And why not? Because mother knows best. Actually though this book is based on the true story of a girl that gets miraculously healed from a condition that has no hope. They are coming out with the movie in March.

Matthew West
Grace Wins
In my weakest moment I see you
Shaking your head in disgrace
I can read the disappointment
Written all over your face
Here comes those whispers in my ear
Saying who do you think you are
Looks like you're on your own from here
Cause grace could never reach that far
Exactly what is grace? Grace is getting something you don't deserve but in a big way. What's the difference between mercy and grace? Mercy is when you are forgiven for something you know did wrong but grace it getting blessings over and above. Are you so guilt-ridden that you can't experience mercy and grace?

Civil War Era
Reenactment
Looking back
to bring it forward...
What made an era
timeless for
a new generation?
Thinking of a time
from yesteryear
when blue and grey
fought a war
that shed blood.
Friend against friend,
Brother against brother,
Such gore and sacrifice
for something each
believe in.
Whether or not
they were right
or wrong.
Yet they fought
until the end.
Now we live
in a time
where slavery
no longer exists.
Except...
@JoSH Poetic Popcorn Poetry
I went to my first reenactment dance and got to see women dressed in hoop skirts and men dressed in blue and grey. It was kind of surreal, like going through a time machine, with the exception of some anachronisms like myself that did not dress for the era.

Flora Whittemore
"The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live."
Realize that everything you do will affect someone else in the long run. Kind of like the "butterfly effect." Research has been done that proves that a small butterfly fluttering it's wings on one side of the world will cause gusty gales on the other. Who would have thunk? Right? There is a cause and effect to everything we do.

Martin Luther King Jr
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
What does character say about a person? Do we truly judge people by something as superficial as the color of our skin? Or by the content of our character? It depends on the person, doesn't it? What does it take to stand up for someone that can't stand up for themselves?

Louie Giglio
The Comeback
No one ever said that life was going to be easy just because you chose the narrow path. Just look at the life of Joseph? Joseph went through many downfalls before God elevated him to a place of power. It all just happens in God's timing. Pastor Louie in his book The Comeback writes about doing just that.

Duck & Goose
How would you like to be pals with Duck & Goose? Remember playing this game in kindergarten? "Duck, duck, duck... Goose!" Now you're it! I went to story time with my nephew and got to hear this story. There is an author book signing coming up soon!
