There was a time in my life when I found myself in a situation that I didn't want to be in due to pure ignorance on my part. So I asked my Bible study group leader if I needed to be in this situation and he said, "Yes!" That he thought there was a reason for my being there; much to my dismay.  The next day I went to church with friends and listened to a song that said to take your light and run towards the darkness, not away from it, so that's what I did.  It was a scary situation but I came out of it stronger and I did what I had to do then I let go and let God...  Sometimes that's all you can do!

Draw the Circle

I kind of wish I had known about this book in time to use as a kickstart to my New Year's Resolutions...  except...  I was way too busy this year to even make any...  Isn't that the way it goes sometimes?  2019 is speeding by at the speed of light I think...  At any rate, I know a group of women that have decided to read this book as a prayer challenge for spring.  Think about it...  It's a time to throw out the old and begin anew.  Happy Spring!  :)

One word of warning...  "with great power comes great responsibility" and you can use the suggestions in this book for very selfish reasons.  Keep in mind that God doesn't answer selfish prayers but more for those that glorify him.  For instance, a friend of mine was circled in a grocery store by a guy that wanted to date her but only came across as being creepy.  If you are going to circle a specific someone in prayer because you want that particular person to be in your life then be mindful that you are trying to take away their free will which God gives all of us.  If you are praying to meet that special someone then pray for the qualities of what you want in that future spouse not a specific person...  And remember that for love to be real it has to be mutual...  One-sided love is not real...  Yet for some odd reason people seem to want those people that really don't want them...

Have you ever wondered about the power of a circle?  Especially when walking around the city of Jericho?  Sometimes there are giants that we come across in our daily lives and we think that there is no way to defeat someone or something like that.  So it's really amazing what drawing a circle will do for you!  A friend gave me a copy of this book when he heard about the prayer challenge my group was doing.  I'm already a third of the way through it and it is a truly inspiring book.  You have to read it!  Have to, Have to, Have to...

There is a sitcom based off of this book that I like to watch every so often.  It's funny and about Asians.  As you know there are not a lot of Asian shows on television.  When people think of diversity, most think of the African American and Caucasian issue, not the Asians, American Indians, Hispanics, etc....  Every immigrant that has come into this country has suffered...  Think of the Irish!  It's ironic for a country that says that they value diversity, how opposed they were to new cultures coming in over the years.  We are not black and white...  We are all shades of beige and brown...

Happy April Fool's Day Everyone!  I bet you're wondering what this day is about or if you are due a prank or two...  It seems that France and Great Britain were two places that actually did commemorate this event although for different reasons.  However no one really knows when it started only that it did.  Should I fool you?  Should I not?  Oh well!  There is always next year!
