Agur

30:8-9

First, help me never to tell a lie.
Second, give me neither poverty nor riches!
Give me just enough to satisfy my needs.
For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?”
And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God’s holy name.

This is an apt prayer, don't you think?  People who are too rich sometimes have no idea what to do with themselves and buy gold toilets and get mixed up in drugs and what not...

And look at what happened  in Les Miserables...

In Timothy it says that we are blessed if we have clothes to wear and food to eat...  Do you have clothes to wear and food to eat?

People who go through the Impossible know what is really important in life...

Jen Wilkin

God of Creation

I am beginning this study because spring is the beginning of the growing cycle and so it was apt that I start at the very beginning...  I have already done Jen's Revelations study which is about the end...  And her Sermon on the Mount...  All tremendous studies...  I highly recommend them!

Anger is a Choice

Do you get angry?  I get angry...  Even God gets angry!  But what do we do with it?  And how can we deal with our anger in Biblical ways...  This book shows us that anger is a choice and we can learn to control it or it will consume us in ways we don't want it to...

The Grass is Always Greener

Do you have a sense of humor?  Some people do, some people don't...  But isn't it a tragedy when you come across a place where no one does?  Where everyone takes you so seriously and when you meant something as a joke, they simply don't...

Michael Phillips

The Eleventh Hour

I've been reading this book and there are surprising nuggets of truth hidden within the pages.  Follow the adventures of the rose in this series of novels and be swept away by the intrigue of happenstances but also the wholesomeness of living with God and his son.
