It's springtime and flowers are blooming everywhere.  Think what a dreary world this would be without flowers.  What would we do without flowers in our lives?  Don't you think it's time to smell the flowers?

Sometimes life gets so busy that you forget to breathe.  So breathe in, breathe out, and take a break!  Because you deserve it.  And if you can go and spend some time out of doors because spring is finally here.  I see flowers coming out and birds flying.

Contemplation

I Think Therefore I Am

Looking out my window
I see the shadows in the sun.
I think of my past, present, and future.

Where do I want to be?
What do I want to do?
Why am I here?

Life goes by so quickly...
Like the forces of an April wind
And time is running out.

Life is what you make it.
You either make the most of your time
Or you simply don't.

When you look back on your life...
Does what you see make you happy?
Or does it make you sad?

One of the worst regrets in life
Is to fall in love with someone
That you never got to spend your life with.
Even when deep down in your soul
You knew he was the one.

Sometimes you get a second chance
But not everyone does.
Taking chances is a risk.

Sometimes you just have to sit back and contemplate what all is going on in your life.  Are you making the right decisions or are you not?  Wisdom is the key to making a good decision.  They say you are the happiest when you follow your heart but our brains get in the way, don't they?

I think about the widows and  widowers who miss their spouses.  I have friends who have lost a spouse.  How do you live your life after?  Does love come more than once in a lifetime?

Romans 8:28

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

This is a significant verse in my life because of everything that God has done for me, especially during this past year.  Sometimes things happen to us that we don't understand while we are going through it, but once we are past it we see the good in the bad.  And sometimes we see the good throughout the journey.

This day holds a special meaning for me because this is the anniversary of the day that I accepted Jesus into my heart.  I was just a kid and we had finished watching a Billy Graham Crusade on television.  Mom showed me what to do and I wrote the day down in a Living Bible that my parents gave me.  Over the years I lost that Bible and then one day out of the blue after Dad had passed on, I found it with the help of my brother.  I will always remember my parents fondly.  I still miss them both!

Who doesn't love a good romance?  I got to meet this author tonight at a disco party.  I really wanted to get this book tonight but did not.  However I plan to get this book in the future so that I can read it.  My inner bookworm is hungry!

Cast Adrift

Everyone has a destination 
of what they want to do 
and what their life will be like.  
But like the currents in a river 
the unexpected happens 
that can turn you around 
to a different direction entirely 
or just throws you off course 
for a while as you toss to and fro.  
Sometimes a beacon of light
shows you the correct path
and sometimes you veer off course 
only to lose your way.
Anchor yourself to a strong rock 
that will never let you stray.  
Usually the journey 
is what's most important 
and what you do along the way.  
Your actions and your reactions 
show your true intentions. 
So be kind and pay it forward
because it matters in the end
whether you made a difference 
in your life 
or just let go of all loose ends.

A court jester
is my best guess.

he might be a goofball
or a clown.
