My Journey into Alzheimer's Disease

Hmmm...  What did I do today?  What did I not remember to do?  What did I forget?  A growing number of the elderly population begin regressing backwards in behavior due to this debilitating disease.  This story is about a pastor's own journey into the mindless abyss...

Esther

4:13-14

“Do not imagine that you in the king’s palace can escape any more than all the Jews.  For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?”

What do you see when you see our world today?  There are many things happening all over the country...  the world...  There are times in our lives when we need to speak up for the things we believe in or else we may lose our freedoms in regards to those rights.  We are living in a time when everything we know to be true is being reversed.  Do we go with the flow or do we fight?  There is a reason we have a voice and that time is now...

Imagine Heaven

Don't you sometimes wonder what happens to you after you die?  Do you believe in a heaven and a hell?  Do you care where you end up?  Does it even matter?  Some things matter more than you realize and if you don't care and maybe you should.  This book is a composite of personal testimonies of different people and their experiences in the after life...

When God Doesn't Fix It

Sometimes life doesn't go as planned and unexpected twists and turns may make you wonder where God is...  He never promised us a life of roses without thorns however he did promise to make "all things work together for good."

The Capitalist Comeback

"Make America Great Again!"  I think back to how America used to be and what it is now and I have to admit that there have been many changes over the year:  Some for the better and some for the worst...  However why is it that so many people want to move here as opposed to other places?  Because we are the land of opportunity and self-ambition...

The Time is Coming...

A Very Very Dark Day

I see people
passing by...
Some happy,
some sad,
but most oblivious...
to the happenings
on this earth.
Sure they know
what they're told
but what about
what they're not told?
We live in a world
that believes that lying
is a most valuable skill
but is it really?
What happened to
good old-fashioned values?
Purity, kindness,
honesty, and truth?
Have those gone
by the wayside
while everything
is going to utter ruin?
Why?  Because...
We live in a world
with cruel intentions...
People who can't stand
honesty and truth
because they left those values
far behind
a long, long time ago.
We can't have what you have
so we want you to be
where we are,
stuck in utter misery.

The thing is that PEOPLE CAN CHANGE...  People have the capacity to change and to wipe the slate clean...  No one has to remain where they are however it's your decision to choose.  You can choose to value honesty or you can choose to lie.  However there are consequences to your choices.  Consequences that involve eternity.

Cry for Me Argentina

What does it mean to cry?  The dictionary describes it "as an expression of distress, pain, or sorrow."  This book is about the 1950's revival that swept across Argentina and South America because a group of college students dared to pray and cry over a country.

Matthew

5:28

"But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

How would you feel if someone could read your mind?  What if the people around you could read yours?  What if once you became married to someone you could read each others thoughts?  Would you feel ashamed or embarrassed or would you feel OK with it?  God knows all our thoughts:  "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly..."  Live knowing that God knows what you think...

Every Man's Battle

What is it about men and the battles they face?  A lot of it has to do with how they are visually wired...  However I personally have expectations for how a Married Christian Man ought to behave...  I have met countless women who are in despair over whether or not their spouses will ever change in that respect...  And granted there are women out there with issues but if you are a Christian Man then you should work on an honorable thought life, don't you think?  Especially if you have daughters...  Do you know what the terrorists in the Congo do?  They force men at gunpoint to rape their own daughters...  How's that for a visual?  You are accountable to God on this score as your thought life is already known by God...
