There are a lot of historical references and you will be able to brush up on your history besides.

Sometimes a love story can take a lifetime to develop after years of no contact.  This sequel continues on in the story of Sabina and the one she loves but she has a stalker too.  It gives you some insight into the stalker mind and the fear it causes.  Sometimes there are times in life where we just exist in our own wilderness.  But God is there even in those near misses.

Surprisingly many of our founding fathers were Christians?  Is that a surprise?  They knew that nothing could happen without the favor of God.

"It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to Obey His Will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor."

George Washington, as well as many of our founding fathers, believed in providence.  His life was a miracle of God's protection.  

He did not want to be president but did so out of a sense of duty.  And he definitely didn't want to be king.  After his two terms in office he went back to his beloved home and family.

 He is a God of mercy and a God of justice.  And don't you forget it.

John Jay was another leading figure in his day:  a diplomat and a lawyer.  He was a member of the continental congress.  This country was founded on religious principles.  And he felt that it should stay that way.
