I once heard a story about a boy whose father was the town drunk. People in the town kept saying how that boy would never amount to much. However when the drunk passed away, and the funeral was held, they were amazed when they saw how successful the son turned out to be. One of the townspeople asked the man how he became so successful having the father that he had and he told them that even though his dad was drunk he never failed to tell him before he went to bed at night that he loved him.
