John McCrae

In Flanders Field

"In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Remember the fallen, the sacrifices they made...  They had their whole lives ahead of them but chose to lay down their lives for a greater cause...  How many soldiers never had a sweetheart, never had children, never got to live their dreams?  Remember them!
