Who do you worship?

"Do not associate with a man given to anger; or go with a hot-tempered man, or you will learn his ways and find a snare for yourself."

What exactly does this mean?  It means that who you hang out with matters...  It matters who you're friends with because they can influence you in a good or bad way...  

Not all your friends are true!  Never be friends with a petty person...

Remember:  "Birds of a feather flock together.."  And so do elk...

 

 

Ezekiel

36:26-27

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."

It took me a long time to realize that I had a heart of stone...  I figured that since I was a nice person I couldn't have a stony heart but I did since I had put up barriers to my heart.  It takes a risk to be vulnerable when you have been hurt before...

One day you wake up...

And you make a choice.

To follow down the path of folly...

Or heed the advice of wisdom...

It doesn't have to be a big decision.

Even a little decision will do...

What do you do?

Do you do what you should?

Or do you what you want?

Or is it a little bit of both?

One decision leads you down a troublesome path...

A path of chaos and folly!

Mocking!

Scoffing!

Killing!

Another decision leads you towards a perceptive path...

A path of common sense and knowledge!

Wisdom!

Safety!

Discernment!

It's never to late to change your mind...

And choose the better way!

Seek wisdom before you find yourself in Sheol!

Do you know what this means?  We should be very careful not to boast about our accomplishments in a way that will turn others off.  God loves a humble spirit and the more humble we are the more he wants to elevate us.  We should never be prideful because you just don't know if something is going to happen to bring about your downfall.

The Way of Wisdom

I am doing a study for fall that centers on wisdom...  

Why?  Because we all need it...  All of the time...  Don't we?  

However something I found out at the beginning of the class was that just because you chase after wisdom doesn't always predict a wise outcome...  

Think about that!  I personally have prayed for wisdom since I was a kid but does that mean I never make foolish choices?  Unfortunately NO!  I have definitely made my share of dumb mistakes...

King Solomon was known as the wisest man in the world but even he made dumb mistakes...
