Enemies of the Heart

We all have a heart, if we're human, and even if we're not human, we still have a heart.  What's in your heart?  Do you have problems with "guilt, anger, greed or jealousy?"  These are not pretty emotions however we all see these in other people as well as ourselves at some point in time.  Remember that deadly emotions can kill, especially unforgiveness.  Why is it so hard to forgive?  Because sometimes it's so hard to forget.

Gulls eating crickets

Burning thickets 
Compassion, pity, 
Evil halted 
And its intention 
Thwarted 
By God's intervention. 

I believe in miracles . . . 
Prayers that are answered 
And healing hands 
The caring heart 
That understands 
Each day's a gift

I came upon this poem and thought how apt considering that miracles do happen.  Thank God they do!  Don't you think?

Do you realize that some people achieve great odds to get to where they are now?  Doesn't it make you wonder that if they can do that while overcoming greater challenges then most of us, then what are we sitting on our butts for just twiddling our thumbs?  Go out and do something!
