Why Oh Why?

Goldilocks Syndrome

As we go about our daily lives
we seldom think
of the place we reside
when we are not there.
The majority of people
trust the man with the skeleton key.
However what if that man
uses his key for a hideous purpose?
Suppose he unlocks your door
when you're not there
so that he pretends that he lives there?
He eats your food,
showers in your bathroom,
checks out your clothes,
and sleeps in your bed...
When you get home
you don't realize that
the man with the skeleton key
was there...

When you have a roommate and something is out of place then you naturally assume that your roommate did it.  However when you live by yourself then you think, did I forget?  Why is that there?  And didn't I leave that here?  Once upon a time, I had maintenance guys come into my place to fix something, one guy had terrible body odor.  Wouldn't you know but that night when I got home I could smell his body odor on my bed...  Why would he do such a thing?  And why did he think it was OK to do?  We trust people to do the right thing but they don't always, do they?
